‘Two juniors who had valuable experiences on the dream stage’ Noh Ho-young and Choi On-yu selected for the ITF South American Touring Team

Hoyoung Noh (Osan GS) and Onyu Choi (TA of Hwaseong City, sponsored by CJ Cheiljedang), the “top prospects in Korea,” have been selected for the 2023 ITF 18-year-old South American Touring Team. 

The ITF Touring Team is a program that the International Tennis Federation (ITF) selects and nurtures outstanding junior players around the world using the Grand Slam player development program funds. 

Noh Ho-young and Choi On-yu will go on a 3-week South American tour starting on the 20th after a 4-day local training camp in Paraguay from the 16th. As her first competition, she competed in Asuncion, Paraguay (J300), and then moved to Brazil to participate in Porto Alegre (J300) and Krishma (J500). 

Earlier this year, thanks to the Asian Tennis Federation’s recommendation, Se-hyeok Cho (Namwon Base SC), Hwang Dong-hyeon (Joo-yeon Choi A), and Min-seok Maeng (Min-seok Maeng) were selected for the ITF 16-year-old Indian Touring Team and played three Indian international junior tennis tournaments. . Hwang Dong-hyun won the highest personal grade at his first tournament, the Chandigarh Championships (J100).  스포츠토토

Noh Ho-yeong and Choi On-yu, who are the same age, are currently the best male and female prospects in Korea.  

Noh Ho-young said after the Australian Open, “I felt that I had to improve my serve a little more, but she was happy and had a good experience by passing the first round of both singles and doubles at her first Grand Slam.” Choi On-ju said, “It’s a pity that I couldn’t show my best condition, but it was such a great experience and I felt a lot to be able to play on such a big stage.” 

Expectations are high on how Noh Ho-young and Choi On-yu, who have grown further through valuable experiences on the stage of dreams, will perform on this tour. Noh Ho-young is currently ranked 49th in the ITF Junior Rankings, and Choi On-yu is 87th.
