Samsung 1st Team and Future Steam Camp set up in Okinawa, fully enjoying the geographical advantage

Samsung is the only one out of 10 clubs where the 1st team and the Future team set up a spring camp in the same area. Akama Ballpark, used by the first team, and Ishikawa Stadium, the future steam camp, are only 30 minutes away by car. Samsung is making good use of its geographic advantage.

In the early morning of the 2nd, it rained heavily in the Ishikawa area where the Futures team is staying. Ground maintenance started right away in the morning, but it was difficult to carry out normal training due to rain. The Futures team had training such as warm-up at the indoor practice field located right next door.

However, it was confirmed that outdoor training was possible due to the relatively small amount of rain at Akama Stadium. After that, the first team and Futures staff quickly coordinated the schedule. After adjusting some of the schedules of the first team players, it was decided that the Futures players would move to Akama Ball Park for training in the afternoon.

On this afternoon, the entire Futures team moved to Akama Ballpark. And, using the indoor practice field and auxiliary stadium, the training that was set for the day was performed normally. Some pitchers even pitched for the first time in the bullpen at Akama Stadium. It was because the first team and Futures players were located on the nearby streets. 슬롯사이트

Head coach Park Jin-man announced that he would go back and forth between the first team and the futures camp ahead of the spring camp to monitor the players’ condition. Among the rookie players participating in the futures camp, if there is a person who stands out, they plan to join the first team camp.

Rookie infielder Kim Jae-sang got a chance. 1998 Bangkok Asian Games and 2002 Busan Asian Games wrestling gold medalist Kim Jae-sang, known as the son of Samsung Life Insurance coach Kim In-seop, is a right-handed and left-handed infielder with a height of 183 cm and a weight of 81 kg. 14 RBI, 19 runs, 10 stolen bases.

He was selected for the youth national team as an infielder with 3 strikes, and his ability is so outstanding that he was asked to inquire about his status by a major league club. Kim Jae-sang made his first appearance at the first team camp on the 6th.

Kim Jae-sang said on the club’s official YouTube channel ‘Lions TV’, “I was very happy to hear the news of joining, and I wanted to come quickly and exercise with my brothers. It was good that the brothers were so good.”

He added, “I was worried a lot, but I think I’ll be able to adapt faster than I thought. It’s definitely nice to be here. I’ll work hard so that I can show a good image in the first team.”
