Returning ‘National Setter’ Hwang Taek-eui, ‘Golden Hand’ who saved KB Insurance

Men’s professional volleyball KB Insurance’s main setter Hwang Taek-eui returned and laughed after a long time.

KB Insurance defeated Woori Card with a set score of 3-0 (25-23 25-17 25-22) in the professional volleyball Dodram 2022-2023 V-League men’s home game held at Uijeongbu Gymnasium in Gyeonggi-do on the 6th.

KB Insurance, which won 3 points by winning the 1st to 3rd sets in a ‘shutout’, recorded 18 points (6 wins, 13 losses) and Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, which rose to 6th place the previous day (17 points, 5 wins, 14 losses) again down to 7th and out of the bottom.

On the other hand, Woori Card (29 points, 11 wins, 8 losses), which was aiming to recapture 3rd place, had to be content with securing 4th place as the winning streak ended.

The shutout loss suffered three days ago, paid back as

it is Woori Card won a shutout victory over KB Insurance in the home game held on the 3rd. However, KB Insurance, which faced again that day, was not the same team as three days ago. This is because setter Hwang Taek-eui recovered from an injury and returned.

The winner was the 1st set. KB Insurance was dragged 19-22, but starting with opponent Jung Sung-kyu’s serve mistake, Andres Villena’s quick open and opponent Na Gyeong-bok’s mistake, they succeeded in scoring three consecutive points to tie the score at 22-22.

KB Insurance, which gained momentum, made a set point with Viyena’s successful open attack. On the other hand, for Woori Card, KB Insurance won the first set as Na Kyung-bok’s attack, aiming for deuce, went off the court again.

From the second set, it was a match for KB Insurance. Viyena and Kim Hong-jung’s attacks steadily accumulated points. Han Seong-jeong even managed to save the opponent striker Riverman Agamez’s spikes and revived the defense, winning with a score of 25-17.

KB Insurance, which took a long-awaited lead with a set score of 2-0, took a lead by 10-4 by driving Woori Card in the third set as well. Our card, which was busy on its way, was also getting hit, but it wasn’t. The relentless pursuit tied the score at 22-22.

However, KB Insurance overcame the crisis with Park Jin-woo’s quick attack, and made a match point with Viyena’s back attack. Woori Card’s quick attack was also out, and the game ended with KB Insurance’s victory.

Volleyball is ‘playing setter’… Hwang Taek-eui proved it

For KB Insurance, foreign striker Viyena scored the most of both teams with 25 points, and Hwang Gyeong-min, a native outside hitter, also scored 9 points.

However, the main character of the day was definitely Hwang Taek-eui. While main setter Hwang Taek-eui was away for over a month due to knee and back injuries, KB Insurance tried to survive with Shin Seung-hoon, a second-year pro, and Park Hyun-bin, but ran into a limit.  메이저놀이터

Shin Seung-hun and Park Hyeon-bin, who lacked experience, were read by the opponent, and they could not overcome the burden and made frequent mistakes. KB Insurance, which advanced to the championship finals last season, has lost consecutively this season and has become a team competing for last place.

When Hwang Taek-eui, who had been waiting so long, returned, KB Insurance also changed. As a national team setter, he skillfully led the game, and Vyena, who was the first to match hands and feet with Hwang Taek-eui in a real game, also scored 25 points.

Above all, when the toss was stable, the strikers were able to hit the ball with confidence even in the match, which was directly linked to victory. On this day, Woori Card made a further contrast by replacing Hwang Seung-bin in the 3rd set after setter Hwang Seung-bin was sluggish.

With the arrival of a new foreign striker, Viyena, and the return of the main setter Hwang Taek-ui, attention is focusing on whether KB Insurance, which has become complete, will make up for its sluggishness and challenge spring volleyball.
