ML jersey sales rankings, ‘Two-hit wonder’ Ohtani is No. 2, but who’s No. 1?

Shohei Ohtani (Los Angeles Angels) has been one of the most exciting players in Major League Baseball this season. His stellar performance at the plate has already earned him the league MVP award. However, he’s also second in Major League Baseball in jersey sales.

ESPN released the first half of the 2023 season’s jersey sales rankings from Major League Baseball on Nov. 11. Ronald Acuna Jr. (Atlanta), the National League’s top vote-getter in the All-Star Fan Vote, was No. 1, while Ohtani, the American League’s top vote-getter and a three-time All-Star, was No. 2.

Acuna Jr. and Ohtani are the first-place favorites to win the National League and American League MVPs. In 89 games, Acuna Jr. is batting .333 with 21 doubles (2nd), 21 home runs (8th), 55 RBI, 79 runs scored (1st), 41 stolen bases (1st), and a .990 OPS (1st).

As a hitter, Ohtani is one of the league’s top hitters, batting .322 (6th) with 32 home runs (1st), 71 RBI (2nd), 63 runs scored (3rd), 11 doubles and a 1.050 (1st) OPS in 89 games. As a pitcher, he is 7-4 with a 3.32 ERA and 132 strikeouts in 17 games.

According to ESPN, “Acuna Jr. surpassed Ohtani as the No. 1 jersey seller. It’s the first time an Atlanta player has been No. 1 since the league began ranking jersey sales in 2010.”

Fernando Tanis Jr. (San Diego), who returned last year after serving an 80-game suspension for using a banned substance, is third. Aaron Judge (New York Yankees), who is out with a toe injury, is fourth and Jose Altuve (Houston) is fifth.온라인바카라

Houston and the Los Angeles Dodgers have three each. Clayton Kershaw (Los Angeles Dodgers) was ranked 20th.”
