Lee Jung-hoo, the ‘second Lee Jung-hoo’…takes care of the junior Whimungo for his first All-Star game

Kiwoom’s Lee Jung-hoo took care of Lotte’s Kim Min-seok in his first All-Star game.

The 2023 KBO League Futures League All-Star Game was held on Thursday at Sajik Baseball Stadium in Busan. The game was won by the Northern League over the Southern League, 9-7, thanks to a three-run home run by LG’s Kim Bum-seok.

After the Future League game, a home run race was held, and the all-star players appeared on the field together.

Lotte’s Kim Min-seok, who has been dubbed the “resignation idol,” was selected as a first-time All-Star after receiving overwhelming support in the fan vote. Kim Min-seok, who made his professional league debut this year after graduating from Humungo, was voted the third best Dream All-Star outfielder in the All-Star Game (985,811 votes from fans and 53 votes from players).

Kim, who was dubbed the “next Lee Jung-hoo” during his time at Humungo, was selected by Lotte in the first round of the 2023 KBO Rookie Draft.메이저놀이터

Standing at 185 centimeters tall and weighing 83 kilograms, Kim’s strength is his bat. Although he is not a home run hitter, he is known for his ability to make contact. For this reason, he is often referred to as the “second Lee Jung-hoo” because he is reminiscent of Kiwoom’s Lee Jung-hoo, a senior at Whimungo.

Lee visited his alma mater last offseason to train with the juniors, during which time he spotted Kim Min-seok, a left-handed hitting shortstop similar to his high school teammate.

Kim was excited to play in his first All-Star Game. Lee Jung-hoo, a senior at Whimungo, was the first to approach him, and they talked a lot.

Lee Jung-hoo took care of Kim Min-seok, who was selected as the first All-Star, and took a commemorative photo with him, leaving him with a precious memory.
