Lee Jung-hoo appeared in MLB.com’s ‘WBC Stories to Watch’

Kiwoom Heroes Lee Jung-hoo appeared on the official website of the major leagues again.

MLB.com has selected 10 stories to watch in the World Baseball Classic (WBC).

Regarding the Korean national team, it was introduced as ‘aiming for a revival’.

MLB.com said, ‘South Korea is one of the countries with the strongest baseball tradition in the world. He won gold at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and runner-up at the 2009 WBC. It is 4th in the WBSC men’s baseball world rankings,’ he explained.

But that’s more than 10 years ago.

MLB.com said, ‘Korea’s sense of disappointment has continued for the sixth year. They hosted the first round of the 2017 WBC in their home country, but lost to Israel in their opening match. He added that he failed to advance to the second round.

Expectations are high for the national team for this tournament as major league fielder Tommy Edman of the St. Louis Cardinals has joined. 온라인바카라

MLB.com said, ‘Korea is highly likely to escape Group B with this squad. Outfielder Lee Jung-hoo is the son of Korean baseball icon Lee Jong-beom. When this season is over, I will try to advance to the major leagues through posting. I hoped that I could impress a major league team before posting.’

Also, MLB.com said, ‘Korean-American infielder Tommy Edman reunited with former St. Louis teammate Kwang-Hyun Kim. He came to represent his mother’s country,’ he explained.

Both Edmon and shortstop Kim Ha-seong (San Diego Padres) are Major League Gold Glove level defenders. Keystone Combi is classified as the highest level among participating countries. It is unfortunate that only Choi Ji-man of the Pittsburgh Pirates failed to join.

Following this, MLB.com cautioned against Japan, saying that winning the title would not be easy for the United States.

Regarding Japan, ‘We are better prepared than any other country to win. Samurai Japan won the 2019 Premier12. Two years later, he won the Olympic gold medal in his home country. Shohei Ohtani missed the WBC in 2017, but this time he will appear. I am also looking forward to the worldwide showcase of Roki Sasaki, who pitched 17 consecutive perfect innings in the Japanese league last year.”
