Kikuchi, 1.19 ERA in last five starts…Fills void of ‘ace’ Manoa in minors.

The best pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB) over the past month has been Yusei Kikuchi of the Toronto Blue Jays.

Kikuchi has been the best pitcher in the MLB in terms of ERA over the past month, the Toronto Star reported on Saturday.

Kikuchi has a 1.19 ERA over his last five starts. In his last six starts, his ERA has been one or less.

In his second full season with Toronto, Kikuchi has a 3.44 ERA in 24 starts, which ranks second among Toronto starters behind Kevin Gausman (3.04). It’s better than Jose Berrios (3.53).

He’s also having the best season of his career, with a 1.4 WAR over the last 30 days, the Toronto Star explained.온라인카지노

Prior to signing a three-year, $36 million deal with Toronto in 2021, Kikuchi had a 4.41 ERA in 29 starts for the Seattle Mariners.

In his first year in Toronto, Kikuchi also struggled, posting a 5.19 ERA between his starters and bullpen.

This season, Kikuchi was Toronto’s fifth starter. With Hyun-jin Ryu out, he barely cracked the rotation.

But when ace Alec Manoa unexpectedly struggled and was sent down to the minors, Kikuchi stepped up. He has completely filled Manoa’s void.
